Smartphone technology has transformed the way we do business. We use our phones to check email and social media, for online shopping and banking, as well as making calls and sending messages. With the number of mobile phone users worldwide expected to reach over 5 billion by 2019, mobile devices have become an integral business tool enabling you to manage your business with the swipe of a finger. Why not extend this to access control?
ICT's mobile solution complements your existing access control system by enabling secure access and control, all with a touch from your smartphone.
Smart. Secure. Convenient.
Equipped with Bluetooth and NFC capability, our latest tSec readers can be used in conjunction with the Protege Mobile App and Mobile Credentials enabling doors to be unlocked using a smartphone for maximum convenience.
Mobile Credentials are virtual credentials that provide card-free access via a smartphone.
As an end user, mobile credentials provide the flexibility and added convenience of card-free access from a mobile device. No more issues with lost or forgotten cards and tags. Simply present your smartphone within range of the reader to gain entry. Customize the read range, and you don’t even need to take your phone out of your pocket.
As an integrator, mobile credentials eliminate the time spent handling physical access cards, and with everything managed online, there’s no shipping so customers can access them immediately. Multiple credentials can be stored on a single device – which is great for those managing multiple sites.
Choose open or managed credentials, according to your needs:
Open credentials provide an additional layer of encryption that locks the readers to the credential profile used. This provides an extra level of security by ensuring the credentials can only ever be used on that site, and also allows you to specify any facility/site code.
If using managed credentials, the facility/site code is administered by ICT. Every site is registered with its own globally unique site code, and every credential recorded in our secure database. This ensures that duplicate credentials are never created.
Mobile credentials provide a simple, more cost-effective approach to managing access credentials, and eliminates the time and effort involved with handling, printing, distributing and disposing of physical access cards. Ordering, issuing, and management of credentials is all done online, with the credential emailed directly to the end user’s mobile device.
Credentials are stored securely on the mobile device, with access authenticated using a secure cloud based server and 256-bit encryption. Given that most people carry their smartphone everywhere, just as they do their car-keys and wallet, mobile credentials are much less likely to be lost or misplaced. They are also usually protected with a passcode or biometric security.
Compared to traditional cards and tags, mobile credentials offer a more convenient end user experience by enabling a smartphone or other mobile device to securely unlock doors and enter buildings. With most (if not all) people carrying a smartphone with them every day, it eliminates the need for physical cards, meaning lost and forgotten cards become a thing of the past.
Use the Protege Mobile App to monitor and control your business while on the go, all from a touch of your smartphone. With the swipe of a finger you can connect to any of your sites, check the status, arm or disarm, control lights, locks, signage, heating – even cameras - from anywhere, at any time.
Free to download from the Apple Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), the Protege Mobile App harnesses the power of the ProtegeWX and ProtegeGX systems, enabling you to monitor and control your building while on the go, with the ease and convenience of your smartphone
No more second guessing whether you set the alarm before you left the office – the app provides instant awareness of system status, and enables you to arm or disarm with a simple tap. Fumbling for your access card becomes a thing of the past as you can use your phone to unlock and open the door. A couple more taps and you have the heating and lights turned on, transforming a cold, dark, unwelcoming office into a warm and inviting environment.
Subscribe to push notifications to receive alerts of system or sensor activity. As a business owner, you see that the system is disarmed at the start of the day, and rearmed when everyone goes home. And of course, you’re alerted promptly of any alarms.
