ICT Extends UL/ULC Approval

ICT are pleased to announce that official UL and ULC approval for the Protege SE Integrated System Controller (PRT-CTRL-SE), Protege 16 Zone Input Expander (PRT-ZX16-PCB), Protege Alphanumeric LCD Keypad (PRT-KLCD), and Armor IP Receiver (CRX-AIP-RCV) with the ArmorIP Monitoring Software (CRX-ARMORIP) has now been extended to include listings to UL1610, CAN-ULC S304-06 and CAN/ULC S559-04 standards.

These standards define the requirements that apply to burglar and fire alarm system units and accessory equipment. This adds to the approval to UL294 and CAN/ULC S319-05 standards for Access Control announced earlier in 2012

This represents another great step forward for ICT. Not only does it demonstrate ICT’s commitment to providing products that meet rigourous safety standards, it also reinforces our credibility and positions us strongly in the US market
- ICT CEO Hayden Burr.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) is an independent product safety certification organization responsible for accrediting consumer products based upon criteria set in place by major consumer safety organizations. UL certification lends credibility to a product and its safety by establishing that it is deemed effective and safe for use by testing those products based on rigorous standards. In order to carry a UL certification mark, products must remain compliant with the standards set by UL.

Testing of additional products is now underway, so continue to watch this space for more product certification announcements coming soon.
