We're pleased to announce the appointments of Nicole Clarke to the role of Operations & Training Manager (Canada), and Derick Sherwood to Technical Support Manager.
Nicole first joined ICT in 2013, starting in our Admin team before moving into Customer Services where her positive can-do attitude saw her quickly become a customer favorite.
Her problem solving abilities and natural interest in technology saw her transfer to Technical Support in April 2015, where she took the reins as Technical Support Manager later that year.
This is a new position that includes administrative, technical support and training functions, and recognizes ICT’s increased focus on building relationships and working effectively with our customers to develop mutually rewarding partnerships.
Nicole’s primary responsibility will be establishing and actively managing our Canadian business operations, with an emphasis on coordinating and improving efficiency while promoting outstanding customer service.
Nicole finishes up in our Auckland office on July 30th and will be enjoying a well-deserved break with a 7-week vacation touring the United States. She starts the new position in our Toronto office on September 17th.
While the Auckland office will miss Nicole (and her incredible cakes), the support team are already in good hands with Derick Sherwood taking over as Technical Support Manager.
Derick has been with ICT since October 2016 first joining us as a Field Applications Engineer where he was the main conduit between the technical support and R&D teams. No two days were the same and he could be involved with anything from developing new integrations to providing onsite technical support.
He has an extensive electrical background, previously holding roles in contracting and manufacturing, before choosing to specialize in automation & lighting systems. With more than 16 years of experience within technical service and support, Derick brings a wealth of knowledge to the support team.
