R&D Support Engineer

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator and problem-solver with excellent time management skills and the capacity to work to deadlines without constant supervision. A high level of motivation and attention to detail is required, and the ability to demonstrate ownership and initiative of assigned tasks is an essential requirement.

This pivotal role will entail the creation, replication and operation of sites and system hardware and software environments for the purposes of R&D team investigation and development, as well as set-up and management of third-party systems for integration, transition and technical development.

A confident communicator, the R&D Support Engineer will liaise with third-party suppliers, and engage with OEM and ICT customers directly to deploy software and hardware for validation and investigation, resolving specific issues as required and operating the R&D beta testing programme, ensuring customers are supported in their testing environment installations and upgrades.

Additional responsibilities include ensuring critical infrastructure (such as ICT buildings) are up to date with R&D releases, VM environment operation, maintenance and management in conjunction with R&D and IT teams and inspection, validation and replication of support issues and feature requests raised to R&D.
