The Protege DIN Rail Single Zone Input Expander adds another input to the Protege integrated access control, security and building automation system, an advanced technology security product providing seamless and powerful integration.
The Single Zone Input Expander is designed to allow the simple upgrade of systems where motion detectors, smoke detectors, and any other dry contact input devices have been deployed using a four-wire bus topology. Using the RS-485 module network, the Single Input Expander is ideal for schools and larger sites where long cable runs and complex wiring routes are present.
Allows monitoring of a wide range of EOL capable or open contact sensors for security and building automation purposes.
The Protege Single Zone Input Expander operates from a 12VDC input. Ultra low current requirements ensuring cost effective power distribution.
Expanding the Protege System with local inputs from the Input Expander allows convenient cost effective expansion:
Single RS-485 communication interface port used for all network communication functions and interconnects to other modules.
Utilizing the latest flash technology and high performance communication mediums the firmware can be updated using the ICT Loadit utility over the Protege system module network.
