Protege GX Version 4.3.307 Now Available
We're pleased to announce the availability of Protege GX 4.3.307. This update includes a range of new features and enhancements including:
Single Record Download Service
A new Single Record Download Service has been implemented. This is in addition to the existing Protege GX download service ensuring changes to Users, Access Levels, and Schedules are sent to controllers in a more timely fashion.
ASSA ABLOY DSR Integration
Integration between Protege GX and ASSA ABLOY DSR (Door Service Router) software systems and IP-enabled locks combines proven locking system technology with integrated electronic access control, intruder detection and building automation
Enhanced PIN Management
A new Encrypt User PINs option allows you to permanently encrypt PINs for all users. When enabled, operators will no longer be able to view PINs defined by users or manually enter PINs for users. Randomly generated PINs will expire immediately, requiring users to define a new PIN the first time they log on to a keypad.
Controller Security Updates
The controller no longer has a default administrator password and when you log into the controller for the first time, you will be required to create a new username and password for the administrator operator. Defaulting a controller now resets it to the factory default instead of just removing the programming.
Updated Web Client Display Themes
If using the Protege GX Web Client you can now select a display theme (light or dark) and display color when logging in. Your selection is maintained whenever you log into the web client from the same browser.
OSDP V2 Support
ICT tSec Readers now support OSDP with Secure Channel, while readers - including third party readers - that communicate using OSDP can be connected to any controller or reader expander within the Protege system using RS-485 with OSDP.
Genetec Security Center Omnicast Integration
Joining our already expansive range of integrations, is Genetec Security Center Omnicast - an IP video management solution (VMS) that scales with your needs and lets you take advantage of the latest hardware and analytics technologies.
